A 37signals basecamp theme for Redmine

Added by Peter Theill over 15 years ago

I've made a basecamp theme for Redmine because we're internally using a couple of 37signals products and like the design. If anyone wants to check it out I've put it online at http://theill.com/stuff/redmine/

Nice theme. Thank you for sharing it.

I've updated the stylesheet with better styles for "forums" so breadcrumb is displayed in a nicer way.

Thanks for sharing! Is there a central point where I can submit or get themes for redmine? A sticky forum thread would suffice.

Nice theme indeed... Would you mind having it shared here on redmine.org on a dedicated page like ThemeDefault? If not: Are you able to obtain/maintain the following info so I can open a page for it:
  • please wrap-up this theme into a seperate plugin (zipped or tarred-gzipped), including the nessacery directory-structure?
  • basic info (see e.g. ThemeAlternate)?
  • add some (4-6) screenshots of the theme (preferred resolution would be 480x360)?

Greetings,

Mischa

Sure, I've attached the files.

Basic info:

Description: Font-styles and color schema copied from 37signals Basecamp default theme.

I don't know if this has been reported before but has anyone had an issue with the CSS on Firefox or Chrome? On the 'My Page' section the two left/right floating DIV tags flow over the wrapping content DIV when you have a lot of content. This doesn't happen in IE.

Here is a great post describing the issue http://www.sitepoint.com/blogs/2005/02/26/simple-clearing-of-floats/ but the simple fix is to add 'overflow: auto;' to the #content style

#content { background: #fff; border-right: 1px solid #bbb; border-bottom: 1px solid #bbb; width: 70%; overflow: auto;}

The stylesheet attached fixes the issue in Firefox and Chrome.

I've updated the file at http://theill.com/stuff/redmine/ so it includes the "overflow: auto" and updated it to latest version of Redmine.

Just installed the theme. Looks great. However, the Activity tab on the top reverts back to the Default theme. Any ideas? TIA.

The "activity" tab should be styled as well. Do you have a screenshot?

Funny. I restarted the app and it was themed correctly. Thanks for the followup.

I wasn't seeing where to create ticket dependencies. After a while I thought maybe this theme just isn't showing it. After switching to default I finally saw the little sections for sub tasks and related issues. I switched back to the basecamp theme and there they were. I'm 90% sure they weren't showing before. It sounds like Erich had the same issue 2 years ago though it may be inherit to Redmine and not this theme.
