Track projects and people by company

I do custom development for a number of clients. I want to create a company then create projects and people under that company.

I know a little bit about custom fields in Redmine. The problem is that custom fields for projects are different than custom fields for people.

Is there the ability, or plans to develop the ability to have a customer field that spans projects and people?

Don't heard about it, but could be interessant to have custom fields for subset of projects. Feel free to open a FR.

You might want to check out the Customer plugin. It will let you create customer records and assign them to several projects.
