Right click issue in issue-list and open in new tab

Added by Anonymous about 15 years ago

There had been a thread about right click behaviour before.

What I wonder is this: I cannot have the issue list displayed and then open (right-click) one or more issues in a separate window/tab.

Couldn't this be done with a two-way behaviour:

  • right click on non-text area in issue row gives the redmine-context menu
  • right click on issue text gives the standard (firefox) menu and lets me choose to open the issue in a new window/tab?

I always drag the list in a new tab und choose (left-click) then. Shouldn't there be an easier way?

Cheers,
Hans-Peter

It is similar to that, however I'll try to explain the way I see it working.

If I right click on the number link or the description link it gives be the normal "Open Link in New Window", "Open Link in a New Tab", etc. menu.

If I right click anywhere else on the line related to the issue the Redmine context menu ("Edit", "Status", "Priority", etc.) shows.

If I right click outside the list of issues, the "Back", "forward", "Reload", etc. menu shows.

Hope that helps.

Thanks a lot. I tried with Safari and there it works exactly how you described it (and what I would have wished for).

However with the Firefox (Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.5; de; rv:1.9.0.6) Gecko/2009011912 Firefox/3.0.6 - all Adblockers/Popupblockers etc. disabled) there is no normal (open in tab etc.) context menu when I right click on the number link or description. I wonder if that's also the case on other peoples Mac-Firefoxes?
