Add a "Spent time" action via email

Hi all. I want to know if there is some patch or some way to add a "Spent time" action, when creating task via email.
This way i would finally be able to teach my team on how to log all that "quick and dirty" jobs that never gets it way into the project management.

I'd also like to know if this is possible.

We can add time spend through commit messages, but it'd be nice if we could add them via email as well.
