Editing a description

We want to use Redmine to track user stories in our Agile process.

But it does not seem like you can edit a tickets description after it has been created. This is something you can do easily in Jira and is a must when you are using a ticketing system to track user stories during the development process. We usually put in a skeleton ticket at first and flush it out fully later.

Is this the case? If so how do we fix this? Could a plug-in do it?

The ability to edit the description is there. There is a usability issue with finding it. You are not alone. There have been other tickets opened. Look for the "more" link beside Change properties.
