Restrict Project Access via Role Permissions?

Added by Lee Taylor over 15 years ago

Hi all,

We've created a role (with limited abilities) and assigned a user to it for one of our projects. Unfortunately, the user can log in and see every project, with the role permissions assigned to his role.

Is there any way to correct this already with Redmine?

It seems this should be a feature added in natively to Redmine?

Thanks,
Lee

Hi there,

Anyone know of a solution for this?

I've seen a RubyForge project called "[#10381] Internal / External user separation" (http://rubyforge.org/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=10381&group_id=1850&atid=7162), and this looks like it might be a fit.

Ultimately, we desire to give clients access to only see certain things within specific projects we assign them to.

All help on finding the right solution is very appreciated,
Lee

Make the project private (by unchecking the Public box in project settings) so that only its members can see it.

You guys rock!

I'm just getting the Repositories showing with upgrading SVN to version 1.5. This project management app is working great for us!

Thank you for all your hard work.

I'm just looking through now, and the client is now only able to see his/her related project - but also in the home page can see the "Latest Projects" box.

Is there an easy way to make the "Latest Projects" and activities container disappear via permissions?

I'm assuming this option has already been implemented, though am not finding it via assigning permissions.

Thanks,
Lee

I've just noticed this post for Feature #1156: http://www.redmine.org/repositories/revision/1/1400

Though I have the most recent code and my page contains the revision that includes these changes.

All the projects that show in "Latest Projects" box have been made private and are no longer public.

The Latest News shows the only/appropriately-related project info. But the Latest Projects box displays all project info for all users.

Any ideas?

Thanks.
