Common Wiki?

Is it possible to have a "common wiki" - one which is not associated with a project?
I would like to use it as a developer's knowledge base.

I don't think it's possible.
The easiest way to do that is perhaps creating a public project with only the wiki module

My solution is to make a link mylink to my principal Wiki.

Ok, so there is no a "legal" way, so to speak.
Where can one hack the top-most menu so a link to the principal wiki can be added? Sorry, I am not that good in Ruby.
