Send report by email

Hi
I am pretty new to redmine, so please bear with me. I have a requirement to do send the report by email. In the "Also available in:" options, I see ATOM and PDF. So, my requirement is to add a new option to send the same contents that we get in PDF or CSV to an email recipient. Could someone point me to some docs or steps required.

Getting used to redmine little more, actually my requirement is to add export_to options to add e-mail in it.

Would such a feature be very useful to you ?

I don't think you would save a lot of time. All you have to do is download the PDF or CSV and attach it to a mail. The only steps that would be saved would be the opening of the e-mail and the creation of the attachment.

The development of this feature might take a long time compared to the "little" time saved by the feature.

Maybe a qualified ruby developer could give an opinion.

Thank you Thomas for the reply. You are right about the effort, the feature is for use by senior management and they would be accessing the page from different machines where there may not be mail client and probably on ipad. Also, e-mail is one of the options being requested by management, they also would like to post to social networking site. Please suggest best approach or some work already done in this area.

I need same plugin, i mean, want to receive several reports every day automatically in order to manage when i'm not in my laptop.
Is there some plugin that do that?
