Profile Avatar does not display, however the images are being saved and can be retrieved by clicking on the profile image

Linux redmine 3.2.0-4-amd64 #1 SMP Debian 3.2.54-2 x86_64 GNU/Linux
mysql Ver 14.14 Distrib 5.5.37, for debian-linux-gnu (x86_64) using readline 6.2

Hi, I have spent some time searching and am not able to find a solution. The issues that I have found that are similar have not pointed me to a workable solution.

Steps to Reproduce: In web browser ( tested with Safari and Chrome) log in and go to the profile page.
Click Edit to edit profile.
Add in an Avatar graphic. I selected a PNG.
Save the profile

Expected Results:
New Graphic will show for the profile that was edited.

Actual Results:
Profile Avatar image has a question mark and no image. However, if I click on the profile avatar I am taken to a page that displayed the image I added to the profile.

The attachment ID happens to be '20' The URL myURL/redmine/people/avatar?id=20&size=64 gives a 500 error however the URL myURL/redmine/attachments/20 shows the image I expected.

This seemed to be an issue with the redmine_people plugin. So if you have similar problems and you have the same plugin installed, you should contact the gentlemen from RedmineUP who are the creators of it.
