Planio database dumps are tested to work with standard Redmine with no problems.

Would you mind sharing with us the error message you're getting and the stack trace in the logs?

The error message I get is an Internal Error

An error occurred on the page you were trying to access.
If you continue to experience problems please contact your Redmine administrator for assistance.
If you are the Redmine administrator, check your log files for details about the error.

In the production.log I don't see any errors.
There are just "Migrating to" entries and then "Creating scope" messages

The log messages stem from the database migrations you performed, not from the actual run of your Redmine server (that produces the error), so unfortunately this doesn't help much.

Maybe try running Redmine in development mode first (with your Planio-imported data) and see what development.log has to say.
