Redmine Authentication acting strange

Added by Bernie Landis over 6 years ago

We are using Bitnami Redmine 3.3.1.

Redmine Authentication is set up as LDAP and works great.

We have self-registration DISABLED and the register option does not appear on the main page. And yet, whenever someone tries to login who does not have a Redmine account but has a valid LDAP account, they are sent to a registration page and allowed to register (and create an account). This new account does not have any permissions, but we don't want them even being allowed to create an account.

Has anyone seen this before? Did you ever figure out how to fix it?

Attached is a snapshot of our authentication settings.

Have you enabled the "On the Fly User Creation" in the LDAP Authentication page??
If that is enabled then no matter the setting the user will be created if it exists in the Active Directory.
If you disabled that then only added users will be allowed to sign in.

That was it! Thanks so very much!

I was so busy looking on the authentication page, I didn't look at the LDAP settings.

I really appreciate your help on this.
