Bulk edit custom fields with different values in a tabular way from issue list

Description
It would be bery interesting to be able to bulk edit some custom fields from the issue list as in the above screen.
For example, when you need to assign an importance to the issues, it is very boring and long to open and save each issue to assign the values.

Well this could be some idea, but completly replace the current bulk edit with this suggestion won't be a good deal.
Another idea could be, to add some edit icon on the issue list. This will replace all text fields in the current issue list with the corresponding form elements (input fields, text area or selects) which enables some kind of quick edit for many issues. After editing those filtered issues, the user could click on save and tricker the ticket updates this way.
What do you think about this suggestion?
