Description
Could we see the redmine somewhere on the web site intalled ?

Anyway, the answer is that you can see the redmine version at Administration/Information page if you are an administrator.

I think that version of redmine must be available for all users and that's why footer text may contain this information as well:

or somehow else.
This way users can test demo version of redmine online and report issues and feature requests with revision or version mentioned.

Agreed.
It is better to show the Redmine version for all users.
But the subject of this issue should be changed like "Show the Redmine version for all users".

This duplicates #1271. Basically the answer is that this change would represent a security vulnerability and as such has been rejected previously
