Redmine Redmine - Feature #22310 (New): Custom field of type Link: add new variable to pass the user https://www.redmine.org/issues/223102016-03-23T13:48:54ZKevin Palm
Currently only these variables are supported/documented:

value => the custom field value

id => id of the customized object

project_id => id of the project of the customized object if defined

project_identifier => identifier of the project of the customized object if defined

m1, m2... => capture groups matches of the custom field regexp if defined

It would be nice to have another variable to identify the currently logged user.
Either by passing the:

user id

the login name

the user's API access key

I would love to receive user's API access key -> The called webservice could use that key to access Redmine!
Redmine - Feature #17801 (New): When adding watchers to an issue, you should have the possibility...https://www.redmine.org/issues/178012014-09-05T08:10:18ZKevin Palm

Sometimes it happens that I want to take 2 actions on an existing issue: Add a watcher + add a note to the issue (or change some other issue-property)

I would like the new watcher to get notified for the changes I make on the issue.
Now, if I forgot to add the watcher, before I make the issue change, then (of course) the watcher does not get a mail.

It would be nice if, when adding watchers, you could decide to send them the issue-information by mail. (so that they know that they are now involved in this issue)
Redmine - Defect #17762 (Closed): When copying an issue and changing the project, the list of wat...https://www.redmine.org/issues/177622014-08-29T07:11:36ZKevin Palm

When I 'copy' an issue and then I change the project of this issue (before saving), then the list of watchers that can be selected is not updated.
This is clearly a bug, because now users are listed that are not assigned to the selected project.
BTW: (The user-list for 'Assignee' is correctly updated when switching the project
Redmine - Defect #17664 (New): Project-specific custom fields should also be searchable when show...https://www.redmine.org/issues/176642014-08-12T11:50:27ZKevin Palm

Currently the user cannot search on a searchable custom field in the complete issue list ([redmineUrl]/issues).
Generally speaking, this is normal, since the mentionned custom field is project-specific and is only displayed if listing issues of the project ([redmineURL]/projects/[project]/issues)
But if the project of this field is the only project a user can access, than the project-specific fields should also be searchable...
Currently, in this case, it is difficult for the user to understand when he can and when he can't search on the custom-field...
Redmine - Feature #17538 (New): Display priority of related issueshttps://www.redmine.org/issues/175382014-07-23T09:44:32ZKevin Palm

It would be nice to display the priority of related issues. (+ Apply the correct style if defined in theme)
Currently, you cannot see if your issue is blocking an urgent or a low priority issue...
Redmine - Feature #17312 (New): When changing the project during issue creation, the already ente...https://www.redmine.org/issues/173122014-06-26T08:21:39ZKevin Palm

To reproduce, create a new issue and enter subject and description

At this point you realize that the wrong project was selected

<del>> You change the project using the jump-box
-</del>> You are in the new issue dialog of the new selected project, but all entered content is lost now...

It would be nice if all entered information would be taken be kept (if possible for new selected project)
Redmine - Defect #8055 (New): Links ending with curly brackets are not correctly interpretedhttps://www.redmine.org/issues/80552011-04-04T10:22:01ZKevin Palm

Links ending with curly brackets are not correctly interpreted:
Example:
http://www.abc.com/viewdetails.aspx?reqid={88991511-FC0F-4923-AF00-5289367A596A}
or
Link}

Notice that this problem only occurs if the link is ending with a curly bracket, not if the curly bracked is in the middle of the link:
http://www.abc.com/viewdetails.aspx?reqid={88991511-FC0F-4923-AF00-5289367A596A}&abc=1
