<p>This reviles parent project names as complained in <a class="issue tracker-1 status-5 priority-4 priority-default closed" title="Defect: Jump to Project reveals names of parent projects to unprivileged logins (Closed)" href="https://www.redmine.org/issues/888">#888</a> but entire project hierarchy can be seen anyway on the Projects page.</p>

<p>Really?<br />If parent is not public (checkbox off on project setting),<br />"non member" (not selected on project setting) cannot see parent project.</p> Redmine - Patch #19370: Parent projects in project jump dropdownhttps://www.redmine.org/issues/19370?journal_id=630412015-04-13T08:17:58ZSebastian Paluch
<ul><li><strong>File</strong> <a href="/attachments/13497">project_jump_dropdown.patch</a> <a class="icon-only icon-download" title="Download" href="/attachments/download/13497/project_jump_dropdown.patch">project_jump_dropdown.patch</a> added</li></ul><p>ahh... private projects... this patch should do the trick and get rid of private projects from the tree, just like it is done for the project path in the page title.</p>
<p>so, the user will see now entire tree hierarchy, including projects he is not a member of but excluding private projects:</p>
<ul>
<li>Project A - public, user is not a member
<ul>
<li>Project B - private, user is not a member
<ul>
<li>Project C - user is a member</li>
</ul></li>
</ul></li>
</ul>
For such hierarchy both, page title and project jump box, shows:
<ul>
<li>Project A
<ul>
<li>Project C</li>
</ul></li>
</ul>
<p>This is OK now with <a class="issue tracker-1 status-5 priority-4 priority-default closed" title="Defect: Jump to Project reveals names of parent projects to unprivileged logins (Closed)" href="https://www.redmine.org/issues/888">#888</a>.</p> Redmine - Patch #19370: Parent projects in project jump dropdownhttps://www.redmine.org/issues/19370?journal_id=636342015-05-11T20:00:21ZSebastian Paluch
