However, I would like to point out the following points:</p>
<ul>
<li>Showing position numbers is not very good looking and inconsistent with other pages such as trackers and roles</li>
<li>The patch makes the behavior of existing sort handle unpredictable (at least for me)</li>
<li>The patch cannot be applied cleanly to the current trunk</li>
</ul>

<p>At our organization we have 100+ statuses for 20+ trackers, so it's important to sort statuses alphabetically when needed.</p>

<p>It still sorts by the row position you drag it to, but yes, it's confusing. I wasn't able to come up with a good solution for that.</p>

<p>Sorry! I should upgrade our Redmine to the latest version.</p>
