Redmine

Hi,
I'm new to ruby and rails but trying to setup Redmine to work with my apache server (running Centos 5).
I've had no trouble setting up all the dependencies, installing and configuring Redmine and it works fine using the WeBrick server but can't configure apache for it to run the way I would like. I have mod_cgi as well as passenger installed.
The only instructions in the documentation are for setting up redmine to run on a virtual host and that doesn't work for me. I just want to have it run from mydomain.com/redmine. I have it installed in /var/redmine and tried to setup an alias but that doesn't work.
Does anyone have any experience setting up redmine on Centos/RHEL/fedora running Apache?
