Redmine

Hi All, Sorry for not being able to get this going myself but I've searched the forum and haven't been able to find answers that I need. I'll start with the basics and build from there I suppose. Any and all help is greatly appreciated and thanks in advance.

First, The reason I am here is because I worked for a small company prior to venturing out into a different industry and at the previous company we used redmine as a bug tracker, version control software etc. My new company is construction based and I see the same benefits could be used there with documents, wiki's and issue tracking as well. So I am fairly computer savvy and rarely run into something that I can't figure out but I have to say that I am stumped with getting redmine installed. I wanted to get it installed so that I could show the owner the benefits and how easy it is to use and what not.

So, My questions:

1) What OS would you consider to be easier to install this on? OS X, OS X server or Windows?

2) I have all 3 above available. I tried to get it up and running on OS X but am running into ERROR's with the terminal commands and something's not being installed. I also tried the Bitnami bundled all in one install and that didn't work either.

Also the install for OSx is a little confusing because every section starts off with "Alternatively, etc" anyway if there is someone that could help me out with these initial questions I'd appreciate it. Thanks

• ALSO I have MySQL and Xcode installed on the Mac OS X already...
