Redmine

I'm trying to build a set of publish scripts that automate my CM process, generate "golden" builds, vesions them, then uploads them and attaches them to a redmine version. I have most of the process complete, however it doesn't seem that there is a way to attach files to versions via the API. Is there a way to do this, or if not, is this a planned feature? Seems like if I can attach a file to an issue i should just as well be able to attach a file to a version (especially since you can do it via the gui manually anyway.
