Dumb Question about sidebar

Well, i actually don't know how to show the sidebar in redmine. I've installed the sidebar-content plugin and nothing.
Is out there somewhere a button which i did not see!?.
BTW, what i mean with sidebar is this: http://www.redminecrm.com/attachments/download/3668/issues_left_menu.png.
