How to search issue by start date?

I tried to add filter "Start", then selected in list "in less than" and in field "days" wrote "2009-07-01". But it isn't all issues in result.
How to use this filter?

You have to give a numeric value, not the date.

Can you give me small example? How can I get all issues from '2009-07-01' to '2009-07-21'?

Try "Less than Days ago :" 21

It's work. But what if I want get all issues between "2009-06-01" and "2009-06-30"?

We don't have Date range filtering option. :(
