Git repository browing setup: Do I need a clone or not?

Hi,
I have migrated from trac to redmine and so far it is wonderful. As I was migrating I also decided to migrate from svn to git. The last bit that I would like to setup is repository browing from redmine (I am using trunk as of yesterday). I have my git repository hosted locally on the same server that host redmine. Those repository are hosted using gitosis. Do I need a clone of these local, bare repository?

Redmine needs to read from the git repository. If your Redmine can read the files in gitosis, you can just use that repository. I had to setup clones on my Redmine because my gitosis user is different from my Redmine user.
