redmine_paste_as_wiki_tables: No function

Can anybody confirm that the plugin https://www.redmine.org/plugins/redmine_paste_as_wiki_tables works in redmine 5.0.4.stable? I could install it error free, I see it in the plugin options of my redmine instance, but if I paste table data into a ticket comment, nothing happens, than just pasting it with its tabs - no transformation to wiki syntax.
Am I expecting or doing something wrong?
