'Affected Version' field for individual projects

Hi, we'd like to add an 'affected version' field for issues like redmine.org has on their site and make it a list so a user can select the affected version from a drop down.

We have mutliple projects, but from what I can see, custom fields have the same values across all projects. That means we'd have to create 'project 1 affected verison', 'project 2 affected version' custom fields, but then to add entries to that list as we release versions, would require administrator privilleges.

Have I missed something here that makes this easy? Or could 'Affected Version' be a standard field on issues so its values are created automatically.

I also interested in that feature.
To make this possible, I configured an other field in the issues, called "affected version" with a text value.
It will be more simple to have directly the lists of available versions in it (automatically filled by redmine).
