bibliography or bibtex plugin

Hi, is there any bibtex or bibliography (google scholar or pubmed) plugin that can be integrated into redmine.

I found only http://visual.cs.uni-magdeburg.de:3000/projects/bibtex-renderer/wiki
I am getting some errors, I may consult the authors but if you have any alternate suggestions. I am glad to test that.

I recently tried to install bibtex-renderer into Redmine 2.6.1 (on Ubuntu 12.04 64-bit, Apache 2). There were errors, but most were easy to fix by editing various files within the plugin and most simply concerned changes in directory paths.

However, I use the newer Redmine Markdown format rather than Textile. So, when I added bibtex-renderer specific markup to wiki pages, nothing happened (i.e., the markup simply passed through when the page was rendered). No errors, but no effect. I suspect I need to write a renderer for Redmine Markdown and integrate it into the plugin.

The reason I'm posting here is to see if anyone has interest in helping me create an updated derivative of this plugin, one that works with both Textile and Markdown, and one a bit more current than seven years old. I'm in the final stages of my Ph.D. and cannot devote too much time to this right now, but I'm an experienced software engineer (27+ years) and having even a few collaborators would be helpful and make me more likely to do this, and sooner. :) So, please feel free to contact me if you have interest.
