Read-only copy of installation

Is there an easy way to mark an entire redmine server as read-only?

We have a main installation in an external data center and would like to have a read-only backup running locally in case there's an internet outage. I want it to be read-only to ensure that no one accidentally signs into it and starts making changes.

Scott,

I would also be interested in this idea. Did you manage to set it up? Maybe you could think on restrict your DB-user's rights (update to login-audit trail would be at least required). But every update attempt will throw a transaction error.
