Select2 search box for assignee and custom (list) fields?

Hi,

upgrading from redmine 3 core includes a project search box with autocomplete, but still not assignee or other (custom) fields with lists.
Is it planned or possible to add autocomplete / select2 features to issue fields too?

Looks like a bug in jQuery 3.6.0

Would be great to fix that issue by upgrade jQuery to 3.7

Used autocomplete plugin which is updated to be compatible with redmine 5.x
