Global project roadmap

Something we would like to do is to be able to use the project roadmap on a global scale (issues across all projects), because our project release versions often require the completion of several tickets across several separate projects. At the moment this does not seem possible, is there a way to achieve this goal? possibly a plugin we can use?

An alternative that was thought of was to keep the project based roadmaps, but have a common wiki page that would tie together any related project roadmaps. However it seems the wiki is also project based so we are again blocked from achieving our goal.

Any ideas on how we can tie together various project roadmaps into a version release (or a way to create a global roadmap that will encompass all projects) would be greatly appreciated.

You might want to follow the development on #465. I'm going to be integrating it soon and it will let you set the sharing level of Versions:

  • none - default, the version can only be assigned issues from it's own project
  • hierarchy - the version can be assigned issues from parent or child projects
  • system - the version can be assigned issues from any project in the system

This should let you create a Roadmap with some "system" versions and then assign issues to them from anywhere.
