An error occurred while sending mail (wrong number of arguments (8 for 6))

Added by Julien Potiron almost 14 years ago

Hello,
I just installed redmine on a ubuntu server 10.04. Everything went ok and now I'm trying to configure email notifications. I did as written in the wiki http://www.redmine.org/wiki/redmine/Email_Configuration and, unfortunately, when I try to send a "test" mail, all I got is this error :

An error occurred while sending mail (wrong number of arguments (8 for 6))

I can't figure out what I did wrong. If anybody has a clue, it would help me a lot.

I managed to make it work with sendmail in redmine configuration and exim4 to manage it.

But the smtp configuration is still not working.

Have a look a REDMINE_DIR/logs/production.log to see if there is some more verbose error message.

I already checked this an nothing wrong is written here. It just says :

Processing AdminController#test_email (for xxx.xxx.xxx.x at 2010-05-03 12:24:48) [GET]
Parameters: {"action"=>"test_email", "controller"=>"admin"}
Redirected to controllersettingstabnotificationsactionedit
Completed in 11ms (DB: 1) | 302 Found [http://xxx.xxx.com/admin/test_email]

But since it's working with sendmail, it's ok for now.
