Redmine won't start on IIS, show index, works fine on webrick

Added by Bernard Grosperrin almost 14 years ago

I am just starting up. I went through all the oops to install on Windows 2003 and IIS6. It "seems" everything is OK, as it works beautifully well with WEBrick, INCLUDING from my computer, not only on localhost.

Here is my config:

About your application's environment
Ruby version 1.8.6 (i386-mingw32)
RubyGems version 1.3.7
Rack version 1.0
Rails version 2.3.5
Active Record version 2.3.5
Active Resource version 2.3.5
Action Mailer version 2.3.5
Active Support version 2.3.5
Application root C:/Inetpub/wwwroot/redmine
Environment production

Not sure what I am missing. Thaks for your help.

What tutorial did you follow to make it work with IIS? Does IIS act as a reverse proxy in that case?

Reverse proxy? huh... I have done that on Apache in the past, not sure on IIS.
I followed explanations to install here, on Redmine site, and the specific windows thinsg you had to do, mostly here: [[http://www.redmine.org/boards/1/topics/7412]]

Mmh, I'm in no way familiar with windows, and even less with IIS, so I won't be able to help you with that, sorry. I think if IIS supports reverse proxying the simplest would be to get a couple mongrels running (I think the Redmine+Apache+Windows guide goes down that path) and reverse proxy to them, but I can#t help in either case unless it really is a problem with redmine, sorry.

Thanks for attempting to help, anyway. Hope someone else can chime in.
