Problem with LDAP Authentication using OID

Added by Richard Weinbaum about 9 years ago

I currently have two LDAP authorization modes that work. They are both use Active Directory.

Now, I need to add a third mode which is Oracle Internet Directory. I created the new mode and when I test, it says I have successfully connected. However when I try to add a new userid it does not find any userids in that directory. Does anyone have experience using Oracle's OID tool?

I am using Binami's Redmine Stack 2.6.0 with Thin on Windows 2003 32 bit server. Please let me know if you need any other information regarding my configuration.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks so much.

I installed Apache Directory Studio on the server where Redmine runs and can connect to the OID repository and see all the userids in the Base DN. Yet when I try to find those users from Redmine none are returned.

Has no one seen this situation before?

Hi,
Have you tried logging LDAP interactions?

config.log_level = :debug

Btw I had never used OID or Apache Directory Studio. Only AD and I had no problem.
