So I have a really dumb question for you guys, but I have Redmine ver 2.5.1-Stable which I probably should upgrade. I am using it as an issue tracker, and my users here would really like to sort by authors. The problem is is that when you select the authors drop down list in the filter settings at the top, the project members are listed but all issues are submitted by non-project members, authenticated with LDAP. At this point I wouldn't be against having a drop down list with all 476 project members as long as we could actually see a list of authors instead of just project members, the project members that we have will rarely be the authors of the particular issue submitted to these projects that we have in this case. I did some searching, and didn't find much. Basically these two were closely related to my issue, but there wasn't a "good solution" that I found. Just for reference two of the project members managing issues have brought this to my attention separately as a request as users of this system. I don't see a good way to implement this, here is what I found that was related to this issue.

The closest to a solution was this link here but I'm not really excited about just re-coding this drop down and maintaining it though each release.

So I guess my question is where do I go form here? Am I missing something? Is there an upgrade or a feature request I can submit. Do I need to move members? What is a good approach to resolve this?
