How to define File System Repositories?

Hi There,
Could anyone give me an example of how file system repositories can be entered into the PM Tool?
I tried the following cases which gave me the same error:

An error occurred when trying to access the repository: No such file or directory @ dir_initialize - E:/CMMI/ |
| file:///E:/CMMI |
An error occurred when trying to access the repository: No such file or directory @ dir_initialize - file:///E:/CMMI/ |
