Description updating is very slow

After upgrading my Redmine from 0.9.3 to the latest 3.0.3 version I noticed a significant delays when updating issues or creating a new ones. Searching and display is fast while update takes up to 15-20 sec.
Environment: Ubuntu 10.04, Redmine 3.0.3, VPS Hosting with 4 GB RAM
Can you please advice where can I take a look for possible bottlenecks?
