Automagicly assign a user an issue, depending on status of the issue

Hello All.
I were wondering, is it somehow possible to assign a user a task/issue according to the status of the issue?
Example:
One of my bosses reports a bug, and assigns it to me
I fix the bug, and set its status but only the boss is allowed to close it, as part of QA
Is it then possible, that when i change the status to something, to autoassign it back to the author of the issue?
