Getting 403 response from rdm-mailhandler

Added by Kenny Stuart over 14 years ago

Hello all,

After enabling WS for incoming emails, generating a key and adding a postfix alias to use rdm-mailhandler.rb, I tested by doing the following:

1. Created an issue (bug), and wait for the issue notification to arrive by email.
2. Replied to the notification email, leaving everything intact except adding the text 'just testing'.

postfix bounced the reply with the following diagnostics:

permission denied. Command output: warning: peer
certificate won't be verified in this SSL session Request was denied by
your Redmine server. Make sure that 'WS for incoming emails' is enabled in
application settings and that you provided the correct API key.

As such I tried from the command line with:

./extra/mail_handler/rdm-mailhandler.rb --url https://<site address> --key <generated key> --tracker bug --allow-override tracker,priority --verbose < testmail.txt

And got:

Posting to https://<site address>/mail_handler...
warning: peer certificate won't be verified in this SSL session
Response received: 403
Request was denied by your Redmine server. Make sure that 'WS for incoming emails' is enabled in application settings and that you provided the correct API key.

I've double checked the settings and key value and it all appears correct, any help gratefully received as I'm at a bit of a loss being new to Redmine and Rails and would love to get this up and running.

Thanks.
