Redmine

I'm confused about how Redmine stores dates/times. I'm using the bz2redmine script to import from Bugzilla 3 into Redmine 0.9.5, and by default all the times come out wrong in the Redmine UI. The Bugzilla database has them all in UTC, and they're copied unaltered into the Redmine database, but then Redmine seems to interpret them in the local time zone (which is US Pacific time for me) so they come out 9 hours off.

I've searched this site for "time zone" and found a patch from 2008 that fixes Redmine to store UTC times, but then a forum post from only a few months ago that alleges that local times are stored, which is what I see too.

As a workaround I'm hacking the bz2redmine script to offset timestamps by 9 hours, but I"m not really happy with that...
