Copy versions from template project

I have seen a lot of talk about having a template project, and that works great. I would like to see if you can copy a 'template version' from the template project. Many of my projects have the same tasks for each version, however I never know how many versions I may have within a specific project.
Basically, if I could have a 'copy version' from my template project, and specific the new project and version name then the issue stack would be replicated over.
