Hiding Archived Projects in View All Issues Gantt Chart

Hey everyone I have a small issue that I want to get some help on. I want to hide all my archived projects from the View All Issues Gantt Chart(ie www.somesite.com/issues/gantt).
First, let me say that I am still very green in regards to Ruby and its counterparts so please bear with me and be patient if I don't completely understand. That being said, simplicity is in order here.
What I need is to change the query that is calling the projects for the Gantt so it doesn't pull the archived projects or issues. Any ideas?
