Issue notes are hard to find in issue status updates

Currently issue notes are mixed with issue status updates history, however notes are much more often used as they contain issue discussion/additional information.
I've attached screenshot describing the problem.
Are there any ways to split notes and updates into different section (see http://www.mantisbt.org/bugs/view.php?id=12517 for example of how issue comments and issue status updates history can be separated into different blocks)?
Or at least remove issue status updates history at all?
