New status doesn't appear in projects + issues

Hi there
I have installed the Redmine version from July and set up some projects + issues. But then I have added more status later on. Now I can't select these new status in the existing issues at all. Why so?
Probably I have to run an update script or something like that? Thanks for your advice.
