Renaming things via translate?
Added by Charlotte Gibson almost 12 years ago
Hi folks,
So, Redmine is practically perfect for the requirements of my roller derby league as a forum/wiki system. However, they will get confused if I present them with a system that uses the term "project" rather than "forum" or "committee" (yes, we're led by committee - eek!)
Trawling through the notes on customising Redmine, I noticed the info on translating Redmine for other languages. If I wanted to rename the concept of "projects" to something else like "committee", can any of you think of any reason why I shouldn't just change the term in the en-GB.yml file in the config\locals folder? Would that fix it everywhere?
Many thanks,
Charlotte

Not really, go ahead. The only thing that can happen is that you might get some gramatically funny phrases or sentences because of the change...
Would that fix it everywhere?
It would, yes.
