How would I migrate data from Confluence into Redmine?

Added by T N over 10 years ago

Hello,

Where I work there is a lot of documentation stored in Confluence which they would like to migrate to Redmine.
Is there a process for exporting data from Confluence then import the data into Redmine?

I would assume there are 3 possible outcomes here..

1. There is a way to export documents from Confluence with full revision history and migrate them into Redmine so that Redmine retains all of the revision history.
2. There is NO way to preserve revision history in which case the best that can be done is to export all of the documents as flat files into a directory then bulk import them into Redmine.
3. If there is no export tool to bulk export documents from Confluence, then documents must be manually copied out one by one and added to Redmine.

If anyone knows the process for option 1 or 2 I would be grateful.. Admittedly, I have no Confluence experience but have used Redmine to create and work issues.

Thanks
Tom
