Is there a way to provide Issue activity information over a defined time on Project Overview Page

e.g.
In the last <<week>>
21 new issues created
19 closed

etc...

And, since we work with the following states - New, Assigned, In Progress, Resolved, Closed, I would like to give the split by statuses. Or, at least treat Resolved and Closed separate from the others.
