Please help, how version Redmine install on VPS?

Please tell me what Redmine version better installation on this server (SSD VPS 512 + Ubuntu 12.04 LTS + SPManager LIte)..

Technically, the newest version is the best. But i don't know if it can work well with a small RAM 512 MB like this. For hosting env, i suggest it should have at least 4GB RAM.
