Error while sending the email ( Net :: ReadTimeout )

Email delivery was working fine for the past year or so. Last week email completely stopped working. I can't find anything in the logs that gives me an indication of what is failing. I tried updating the system to see if it would resolve it. How would I go about getting better logs of error happening.
