Single Sign On with plugin from RMplus isn't working

I have already 2 software packages with SSO working. Redmine is authenticating against a windows server with LDAP. But the SSO plugin for Redmine isn't working. Redmine on Apache is configures as a subdirectory. On the logs it's looking like Redmine tries to authenticate with <domain>\<user>. Has someone a tip for me?
