Redmine "Could not connect to DB"

Hi all
I am pretty new to Redmine and I wanted to install it.
OS is a CentOS 7.2 running on a VM.
I was kinda following this guide:

It is running Apache version 2.4.6 and MySQL version 5.7.15
Redmine is latest version.
After taking all steps, I get the following error:
Could not connect to DB
Database seems to be configured correctly and I connect to the database with the redmine user and password, from a terminal.
I checked both configuration.yml and database.yml files for errors but they seem OK to me.
Please advise me, where to start to make this work.
