HELP with CUPS-PDF!

Hi everybody, I have a GREAT problem with CUPS-PDF, I downloaded it and after executing this line
sudo chmod 0700 /usr/libexec/cups/backend/cups-pdf
the terminal crashed and I had to reboot but... it doesn't reboot at all!
I'm kinda newbie to Mac, I really don't know what to do, can you help me?! Have I lost all the data on my hard drive?
