What is text formating syntax for creating link to a particular user update within issue not issue itself?

Added by Pawel Orzechowski over 12 years ago

Hi,

If I do an update on some issue, I often use comment button. But sometimes it would be more convinient for me, not to use comment, but just start "clean" update with a link to an issue update made by someone earlier.

Issue updates are numbered #1, #2 etc. But of course if I add "#<number>" to an update it will link me to an issue accordingly.

My question is then: what is the correct formating syntax (if any) for creating the link to an issue update within the same or any other issue.

Regards

Pawel

Unfortunately it does not work:-( If you put hash sign before number it automatically creates link to issue number.

If you hover with your mouse over update number in an issue there is a hyperlink http://.../redmine/issues/893#note-30 so I thought there is something similiar to note-30 or note30, or #1note30, but none of the works.

Any other ideas?

It seems to be very handy feature and it seems to me that I have seen this kind of updates to issues but do not remember where and if it is actually true:-(

Note that #2715 is not yet implemented in the Redmine core thus it is not yet supposed to work. #2715 is a feature-request to add the functionality.

Maybe you mean the manually crafted links. These I use myself on redmine.org from time to time. The following syntax:

#2715 ".note-14":http://www.redmine.org/issues/2715#note-14

produces the following link(s) to note-14 of issue #2715:

#2715 .note-14

    (1-3/3)
